How to migrate from Lovable to DevBX

Lovable lets you export your code, but your database lives in their Supabase. Here's how to move to DevBX and own both the code and the data — as a single SQLite file.

1. Export your Lovable code

Use Lovable's GitHub sync or code export to get your source repository.

2. Export your Supabase data

From your Supabase project, export your tables (CSV/SQL). This is the data Lovable doesn't hand you directly.

3. Describe the app to DevBX

In DevBX, describe the same app (or paste key screens/specs). The agent scaffolds it on the blessed devbx-app template with auth and the SQLite data layer wired in.

4. Import your data

Load your exported rows into the app's SQLite database. From here, your whole database is one file you own and can download anytime.

5. Deploy with dev/prod + rollback

Publish to a public URL with preview. Iterate freely in dev — the AI is at the real price with no markup (free on a flat BYO key) — and promote to prod with one-click rollback of code and data.

FAQ

Will my Lovable data come across?
Your code exports via GitHub and your data exports from Supabase; you import the rows into DevBX's SQLite database. After that, the entire database is a single file you own.
Do I lose anything by leaving Lovable?
You leave behind credit metering and a vendor-hosted database. You keep your app — and gain full ownership plus EU hosting and dev/prod rollback.

Build a real app — and actually own it.

You see the real AI price — no hidden markup buried in credits. Your choice of AI provider, and your code plus your whole database (one SQLite file) are yours to export anytime.
